Behaviour: 

The song at 15 C is a steady sequence of short sharp ticks (Fig. 11). The tick rate is slightly greater than 2 per 10 s. Analysis was from audio-limited field recordings. A broad frequency peak cen tres on 10 kHz. Calculation of frequency from the waveform of the initial sinusoidal tick portion agrees roughly with the 10 kHz peak. The spectrum of Fig. 2 was obtained by storing successive ticks, and the gaps, e.g. 9 kHz + or ? 0.5 kHz, are artefacts of the sampling time course. [1]
