Specimen Labels

These labels can be attached to preserved specimens to indicate that recordings of those specimens have recordings available. At the Natural History Museum, London and on secimens prepared by the BioAcoustica team these labels are printed on orange card. This follows the tradition set by David Ragge (and others) at the NHM who used orange card labels to cross reference the specimen collection with the collection of recorded sound. The use of orange card allows for easy identification of specimens with recordings within the collection.
