Tettigonia cantans

Behaviour:

Its song is an even, very loud buzzing, so that individual syllables cannot be distinguised. The rate of wing-vibration is similar to that of T. viridissima, but the individual syllables are equally saced, so that the song seems to be a uniform buzz. Only in very cool weather is the rate of wing vibration slow enough for individual syllables to be clearly audible. [1]
