Chorthippus Glyptobothrus brunneus
Behaviour:
Typical behaviour in this species is of two types; in the first type, the behaviour is as described for S . lineatus. The difference between this and the second type lies in the fact that in some cases when a female stridulates in response to male song, the male orientates towards the female and moves towards her. Sometimes the female moves after stridulating and sometimes it does not ; in the latter case, the male eventually finds the female, but this is rare. Most often a mutual search is made, with both insects making short stops for alternate stridulation. [1]
